A true Alaskan native, John was born and raised in Homer and Beth has lived there since 1973. It was John’s mother who purchased and created the Tutka Haven subdivision over 30 years ago, and a friend of John and Beth’s purchased the lot where the Hideaway is located to build the cabin.

He passed away several years ago, and when his wife decided to sell the cabin, John and Beth purchased it to create the vacation rental you see today. It took them several years to complete all of the upgrades, but it was a true labor of love. It is now a haven for traveler’s near and far looking to escape the frenetic pace of their daily lives, and immerse themselves in the wild beauty of the Alaskan landscape.
